Day Trip

Posted on June 13th, 2020

It's nice to get outside once and while. I was lucky enough to have a day trip out to Wollaton Park recently. Although I live close to the Nottinghamshire area this would only be my second visit to the park. The first time I managed to get some interesting deer shots, but it was quite a cloudy and dark day, so I was a little bit excited at seeing the deer again and having the chance to photograph them again.

As you can see from the picture above I was lucky enough to see the deer. Unfortunately they were a bit weary of the public and I didn't want to disturb them. So taken from afar with them keeping a close eye on me I took the picture.

Also while there I had the opportunity to see some coot chicks. I've taken plenty of pictures of coots over the years but never seen their chicks before. Check out the colour of the feathers on their heads. How awesome is that?

Finally, a trip to Wollaton Park wouldn't make sense if I didn't capture a picture of Wollaton Hall. This magnificent building looked great on the day against the dark sky that was starting to come over.

And that's it. I hope you enjoy the photos and as always feel free to leave a comment below or contact me if you have any questions about my photographs.
