Taken while traveling through the wild flowers at Pensthorpe Natural Reserve in Norfolk this five spot burnet moth really stood out with it's yellow and black wings nearly covering the purple flower it landed on.

Common Blue Butterly

A close up of a common blue butterfly. As the name suggests this is a very common butterfly but still very beautiful to look at with it's blue pastal coloured wings.

Orange Tip Butterfly

After a bit of patience I finally managed to capture a shot of this orange tipped butterfly. Very skittish in the midday sun and it took a long time to land, but it seemed to take liking to these little white flowers.

Ringlet Butterfly On Plant

This little ringlet butterfly really seemed to enjoy hanging on to this small green plant. Long enough for me to capture this picture at least. Apparently it's called a ringlet butterfly due to the small circles on the wings.

Peacock Butterfly Perched On The Daisies

There was so many butterflies out the day I took this shot. But this one is my favourite. The clarity of the image shows off the colours in the butterfly's wings perfectly. To top it off the butterfly is perched on a beautiful daisy flower brightening up the entire scene.
