Taken on my first visit to Dovedale in the Peak District. The walk down the side to the Dovedale Stepping stones was incredibly busy, but turning around and looking downstream I managed to capture this image of the sun shining glistening down on the River Dove as the water rushed down the valley

Designed and Sculpted by Louis Frederick Roslyn it was unveiled in 1920 and bears the names of numberous people who gave the lives.

Buxton Octagon Hall at the Pavilion Gardens

Opened in 1875 the Octagon Hall in Buxton, England, was designed by the architect Robert Rippon Duke as a concert hall. Being one of the largest eight sided rooms in Europe it is a magnificent sight to behold and a classic structure that adds to the surrounding pavilion gardens.

Hardwick Hall Lady Spencer's Walk

The path through Lady Spencer's walk at Hardwick hall. Lady Spencer (the mother of Georgina Cavendish, wife of the 5th Duke of Devonshire) created this walk with her granddaughter in the 1700's. To this day it's a beautiful walk through the small forest residing at the side of Hardwick Hall.

Where does it lead

Taken at Hardwick Hall along Lady Spencer's path these doors have been added to give a bit of fantasy to the walk by giving the impression someone lives inside the tree.

Sign to Curbar Edge

I love visiting Curbar Edge. It's not too far away, there's a car park close by and within minutes of walking you're treated to some great views of the Peak District. This images shows the first sign post you meet on your way up giving the options of visiting Curbar Edge, Baslow Edge or White Edge.
