Hoverfly on a yellow flower macro

This hoverfly was kind enough to stand in the middle of a yellow flower feeding while I took this photograph. Check out the up close detail of the eyes.

Mini Cactus Up Close

Up close and personal with a tiny cactus. As soon as I saw this little thing I wanted to take a photograph and capture the detail of those spikes. I have to admit I may have been stabbed a couple of times when getting to close but it was worth it for the shot
